This summer I had the pleasure of working on the living and dining room of Amy and David McKay. They are a gorgeous family (with young son James) and we worked to make their space feel inviting, grown-up (yet kid friendly!), and undeniably East Coast.
Probably my favourite project of the summer. Most of it was executed while the McKay's were on holiday- what a fun surprise to come home to!
Happy decorating, Lisa

Living room: I used a soft green and blue palette, reminiscent of sea glass and cloudless skies. To be child and budget friendly, we used IKEA furniture pieces that we spruced up with paint and stain and stunning new hardware!

End tables & media cabinet: IKEA. Hardware: Anthropologie & Ginger's. Sofa: Client's own. Pillows: Pottery Barn / HomeSense. Lamps: Pottery Barn. Toy boxes (recovered in a new fabric): Linens N Things. Occasional chair: Vintage.
Dining room: I found a gorgeous blue and white striped wallpaper at a fairly reasonable cost (about $500 for the whole room) and painted the ceiling a gorgeous pale powder blue. I love the mix of new and vintage, and the contrast of the clean white chairs.
For some instant DIY glam, I added upholstery nail heads (7 cents a nail!) to the chair legs.
