
For today's Textile Tuesday, we look into the history of damask. Once reserved for formal rooms, modern day
applications have become much more daring and not at all unoriginal. They have come a long way from the
Islamic and
Byzantine weaving centres of the middle ages and now grace our walls, furniture and paper products in daring colours.
