Last night I checked out the opening of West Elm's first Canadian store. As a purveyor of many home retailers across our fair city, let me tell you it is well worth the trip to Liberty Village to check out what our friends to the south have introduced to us here!
The store itself is an expansive palace of exposed brick, gorgeous floor to ceiling windows and beam work. Nestled against the industrial background you'll find cozy throw pillows, luxurious rugs, and some of the most charming (and affordable) home accessories I've seen to date.
At the grand opening party last night, home decor guru Lynn Spence was present, HGTV's Designer Guys made an appearance, and a bevy of home editors and buyers and savvy shoppers munched on delectable appetizers and feasted their eyes on a scrumptious assortment of home goods.
Favourite items for me include: white Christmas tree ($69), platinum plated plates & glassware ($8 - $24) and adorable accessories like the bronze birds below ($24).
I am in love! Cannot wait to go back. Check out the finery at 109 Atlantic Ave, right on the corner of King St. W and Atlantic.
